SPECIALITY COFFEE

At Tilt, we really care about the coffee we serve.

To understand what makes our coffee special, you have to understand what Speciality Coffee is - The term "specialty coffee" refers to the highest quality green coffee beans roasted to their greatest flavour potential by true craftspeople and then properly brewed to well established SCAA developed standards.

Specialty coffee in the green bean state can be defined as a coffee that has no defects and has a distinctive character in the cup, with a score of 80 or above when graded according to SCAA Standards.

Here at Tilt we only use the top 5% of Coffee produced in the world.

With this in mind we choose guest roasters from all over the world to showcase the best seasonal coffees.

For Espresso we currently use a La Marzocco Linea PB ABT and Nuova Simonelli Mythos One
For Filer please see our Frozen Solid Coffee Project, we use a Kalita 155, Fellow Stagg EKG and a Mahlkonig EK 43
We currently use a BWT Water Filtration System for Espresso and build our own water using Aquacode for Filter
